Trekking in the woods

The 25 hectares of property between woods and centuries-old olive groves, naturally contiguous with the neighbouring properties created from nature reserves offer an open space on the Trasimeno hills, ideal for trekking starting directly from the Cantico. The paths through the woods and the farm tracks allow a complete visit that alternates immersions of colour in the green of nature with evocative views on all sides: towards Lake, Perugia, the Sibillini Mountains or Mount Amiata. The encounter with nature is also varied: from colourful strawberry trees to wild blueberries, blackberries, porcini mushrooms, asparagus, chestnuts, numerous animals from wild boar to deer, from badger to fox, from hare to pheasant.

The hills of Lake Trasimeno are full of trails that follow the ridges and represent a true paradise for lovers of mountain biking. For those who love to relax on the shores of the Lake, a newly built cycle path runs almost entirely along its perimeter. The 25 hectares owned by the Cantico are a place of attraction for local bikers due to its breathtaking views and the route of its trails. Completing the picture is one of the best known downhill trails in the area that descends into the woods. Thanks to the fruitful collaboration with a qualified specialist shop, it is possible to rent excellent mountain bikes or road bikes at competitive prices for a ride in complete freedom. All with the due technical assistance where necessary.
